Overview of DRDO Recruitment 2023

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced vacancies for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). As per the official notification, interested candidates meeting certain criteria are encouraged to apply. The maximum age limit for JRF candidates is set at 28 years as of the interview date, with relaxation for SC/ST and OBC candidates by 5 and 3 years, respectively.

Available Positions and Salary Details

According to the official notification, there are 7 open positions for the Junior Research Fellow role. Successful candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹37,000, in addition to House Rent Allowance (HRA) and medical benefits, following government regulations. The selection process will be conducted through a walk-in interview.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria differ based on the respective engineering fields:

• Mechanical Engineering: Candidates should possess a B.E/B. Tech. with a valid NET/GATE score or M.E/M. Tech. in first division at both graduate and post-graduate levels.
• Electrical and Electronics Engg./Electrical Engg. /Electronics and Communication Engg./ Electronics Engg.: Graduates should have a first division B.E/B.Tech. with a NET/GATE score or a post-graduate degree in the same field.
• Material Science / Polymer Science / Polymer Technology/ Engineering: Graduates with a first division B.E/B.Tech. with NET/GATE or post-graduation in the respective fields or M.Sc. with NET qualification.

Prospective candidates must bring all original documents as per the Essential Qualification Requirement (EQR) and identity proof, as specified in the official notification. The walk-in interview is scheduled for 30-11-2023.
