The Communique from JKBOSE:

Under the newly implemented Uniform Academic Calendar, the JKBOSE ceased the practice of conducting separate examinations for different divisions, opting for a uniform examination system from the Academic Session 2023. As a consequence, the regular examinations for classes 10th, 11th, and 12th, originally scheduled for October-November 2022, were not held in the Kashmir Division, Winter Zone Areas of Jammu Division, and UT of Ladakh.

In an effort to alleviate any potential confusion or misinterpretation, JKBOSE has made a crucial announcement. The diplomas of affected students from the annual regular session 2022-23 will now reflect the session as ‘Annual Regular 2021-22/23,’ accompanied by the statement, ‘Academic Session Annual Regular 2021-22 shifted to Academic Session 2022-23 due to the adoption of the Uniform Academic Calendar.’

Implications and Significance:

This decision holds significant implications for the affected students, ensuring that their academic records accurately reflect the transition caused by the adoption of the UAC. By providing clear information on the diplomas, JKBOSE seeks to maintain the integrity and authenticity of the students’ educational achievements while acknowledging the impact of the academic calendar shift.

The transparency brought about by this measure aids not only the students but also educational institutions, future employers, and other stakeholders, who can now understand the context of the academic session shift and its relevance in the students’ academic journey.
